The Arsenal 2007 Girls team, coached by Christina Plank and Amanda Lay, were crowned Champions of Flight 2 of the Sleeping Giant Soccer Classic held here in Helena over the weekend of October 19^th.

The team was led by a strong defense and goalkeeping, who kept 3 clean sheets going into the championship game. They defeated Big Fork FC 1-0, Great Falls Rush 6-0, and Bozeman Blitz 1-0. Players that scored were: Chloe Price, McKenna Pipinich, Mia Taylor, Solveig Mohr, Cassidy Smith (2g), Taylor Lay (2g).

The championship game ended up tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and went to a penalty shootout.  Arsenal goalkeeper, Ashlynn Cornwell, made a save for the 5-4 win. (Goals by: Makenna Szarowicz, Mollee Boyle, Cassidy Smith (2g), McKenna Pipinich, and Jordan McDaniel).
