2019 State Cup 2002 17u Boys Championship Story

Arsenal SC U17 Boys Premier Team, coached by Charly Ayidomihou and Javi Porras and managed by Andy Adamek, laid claim to the Championship for the 2019 MYSA State Cup.

At the State Cup held in Great Falls over June 7-9, the team went undefeated winning all 3 preliminary games before advancing to the Final .  

The team outscored its opponents 16 goals to 1 over the weekend. 

In their first game against Billings United Pink, Ryan Quinn scored 3 goals with 2 assists by Jacob Demmons for a 3-1 victory. 

In their second game against Blitz FC Gold, Quinn scored first off an assist from Marston Carpenter, followed by a trip in the box drawn by Caleb Hoxie. Hoxie then planted his penalty shot in the net for the 2-0 win.  

In their  third game against Blitz FC Blue, Quinn scored two more with an assist each from Luke Schmitz and Hoxie. Josh Wilcox and Eli Voss are credited with a goal each with an assist from Ethan Hayes to Voss for his header in the net to end the game 4-0. 

In the Final game against Blitz FC Gold, the floodgates opened for Arsenal with a 7-0 win including goals by Hoxie (1), Quinn (2), Carpenter (3), and Demmons (1). Assists were made by Carpenter (2) and one each by Voss, Nathan Adamek and Hoxie.  

Henry Lauerman and Dylan Maharg shared time in the net for each game posting a clean sheet in 3 of 4 games. 

With an overall season record of 11-2-6 including out-of-state competitions at BTT Performance Cup in Boise and Real CO Cup in Denver the team finished strongly at State to head onto Far West Regional Championships in Boise June 17 -23.  Arsenal will face the top seeded USYS U17 club team/state champions from Washington, Colorado and the Desert Premier League during the first 3 days of play to earn the right to advance in their 16 team bracket to quarters, semis and the final.
